An overview

Viking Ski Club was founded in 1929 with an original focus on ski jumping. This focus gradually shifted to cross-country skiing and in the 1960s the club acquired the land and built the clubhouse at its present location on Jackson Road in Morin-Heights. Read more about the club's long history.

The club operates on a non-profit basis and is run by members who volunteer their time.

Viking offers programs for youth (Viking BR for ages 4 and 5; Viking JR for ages 6 to 13, Arrows - racing and technique - for ages 10 to 15, and Challenge programs for ages 13 to 18) and adults, weekly guided tours throughout the Laurentians, other special trips and outings, plus social activities and hiking, biking and canoeing in summer.

Our trail network is extensive; in addition to some 10 km of wider trails which are groomed for skating and classic technique (known as the Circuit Sheldon Racing Trails), another 40 km of classic trails offer excellent skiing for all levels.
